Sauce Essentials is a high-volume cannabis vape brand built for retail scalability, known for its bold visual identity and accessible product lines across multiple markets. This product line is a flagship line for SVJ Brands and as Chief Brand Officer + Head of Creative, along with our CEO, I led the evolution of the brand from a single recreational product into a multi-line portfolio, including Live Resin and Distillate all-in-one devices, pre-rolls, and edibles across 8 different states.
My role spanned brand positioning, packaging systems, campaign development, product launches and retail support at scale. I built and directed a fully remote, growing creative team while establishing processes to support rapid product launches in a highly regulated environment. The work balanced speed, compliance, and cultural relevance to drive both sell-in and sell-through.

Sauce in the fieldSauce recreational cannabis products are available in licensed dispensaries across 8 states including Ca, MI, or, az, CO, nv, oh, and OK.
We started in one market, California, in 2020 and were operating across all 8 by the end of 2024. Each state has unique compliance regulations around packaging, production, events and marketing, so the brand had to show up differently everywhere. Our challenge was to provide a scalable and flexible system that maintains customer brand recognition across each market and had the ability to cater to the individual marketing needs of each state team.
