Smokes pre-rolls
Sauce Essentials started as a vape brand, but the opportunity to expand into additional categories beyond vape led to the launch of Smokes by Sauce, hand coated and infused pre-rolls that were guaranteed to provide the potency and quality that the experienced cannabis user was looking for.
Knowing that this brand would capture the customer recognition that Sauce already had in the market, we set out to build out packaging that felt whimsical and would fit into the high in the sky “Sauce World” aesthetic that is full spectrum color with a soft blue gradient base.
Initially available in California and Michigan markets, this product went through several evolutions in jar size, strain availability and compliance changes that the brand took into consideration and led to evolve the product over time. Though the original version of this product line is no longer available, the product evolved for a relaunch in Spring of 2026 that could be expanded to new markets more easily and fit the customers desire to have both quality and affordability in the products they purchase.

Smokes by Sauce > Sauce Smokes
After several years of selling the hash coated, premium version of the Smokes by Sauce Pre-rolls, the product line and general aesthetic needed to change. In order to keep up with evolving compliance and create a design that could scale more easily, we took a blend approach over individual strains and created a similarly vibrant color system that would be more universally compliant across all state markets.
This new product launched into the California market in Spring 2026, with 3 additional state markets on the horizon.
